Rules & Awards
Registering
Your Fish:
All
fish must be entered on the Muskies Inc. website at
www.muskiesinc.org
. Log into the Members Only section and click on the Lunge Log tab
followed by the Fish Submission tab and fill out the form. (Make
sure to only hit SUBMIT one time or they will reregister the same
fish as many times as you hit the button.)
All fish must be entered
within 30 days of being caught to count in the contest.
Scoring:
4
points for a 30" muskie and 1
point for each inch over 30".
Juniors Divisions:
Under Age 18
Adult Divisions:
Age 18 and over
Masters Division:
Any person that has
won the women’s or men’s division in past years must enter their
fish in the Master’s Division.
Division Prizes:
The top 3 places in
each division will receive an award, except the tiger muskie division
where only one award will be given to each of the 2 divisions. Replicas:
We
will be awarding a replica to the largest fish caught and released by
an adult and one replica to the largest fish caught and released by a
junior. If the person with the largest
fish has won a NMMI replica in the past, the replica will shift down to
the person with the next largest fish that has not won a replica. Winners must have a
valid up to date MI Membership at the time the fish was caught to be eligible so make sure that you renew on time! Winners
are expected to display their winning mount in the North Metro
Muskies, Inc. Booth at the Minnesota Muskie Expo.
Patches and Individual & Annual
Certificates:
When entering a
fish on the Muskies Inc. website you have the option to receive
Release Patches and Individual Release Certificates for each fish you
catch. There is also a check box for Annual Release Certificates for
your yearly fish total. Due to the confusion of these check boxes
and the number of times they are accidentally checked, we ask that
you email in a request at the end of the season for certificates and
patches. Contact Eric Nelson at minnow-flipper.com the end of
each season with your request. Also, all patches and certificates
must be picked up at the annual banquet or one of the general
meetings.
Photo Contest:
There will be two
winners for this contest, one adult and one junior. The adult
contest will be a random drawing of all photos. This winner will
receive a new 8’-6” Old School Tackle muskie rod. For the junior
division, our board will determine the top five junior photos of the
year. We will post these photos on the website for the membership to
vote for a final winner. The winner will receive a 24x36 inch Franz
Reprographics custom print of their photo. Please submit all photos
to Eric Nelson at

Franz Reprographics recommends using a 3.0 megapixel digital camera
or better. Both winners will be announced at the 2013 Annual
Banquet.
