I was wondering how many of you follow the major/minor tables and if you really find yourself hammering fish during when they say you are supposed to?  Also, where is a good place to get one? I asked several people from gander mountain and i found that to be a waste of time.

We had alot of success last year in August and September fishing Moon Phases.

Here is a great link that customizes your Sunrise/Moon Phase calendar based on the exact lake you're fishing.

I will let you know later this summer how well it worked out this year.

Good luck!

John Alden Knights - Solunar Tables - 2010....Thorne Bros.   $6.49.  I find it very valuable.  If you've seen some fish and there lazy go back to those fish during the minor and major and try again.   Fish seem to be more active even if you don't catch one.  Often I will check the calendar after catching a fish or having several follows and sure enough its during one of the peak periods.  Current weather patterns seem to trump the major/minor periods.

The In Fisherman has a table you can print off on-line with peak periods as well.
