Fished with my dad for the first couple hours. Had 3 up and going in the figure 8, 2 were biters but lets just say user error lost the fish. I didn't have any after my line the whole night. Couple pike and that was it. We seen the three (45,40,35) in 8 feet of water off a break from heavy weed cover. Two fish came from on top of the slop and the smaller one came from the edge. All fish were seen in about a 30 minute time span right away when that rain cloud came over head. They were hitting a black and white marabou bucktail with a #9 fluted Indiana Blade. Ended up leaving the lake a little early at 8:30 when I knew I shouldn't but Ijust couldn't take the humidity last night for another minute. Had a couple jet ski's buzz the boat at the end too that may have played a part. Lots of recreation going on last night. Mark Knabe |
